Three Rooms
A gallery devoted to the ingenuity of American artists and craftsmen, Three Rooms, with its 38-year history, is an art institution in the Twin Cities where you'll find fine art, unique lighting, furniture, decorative accessories and hand-crafted jewelry.
Originally a women's art co-op, Three Rooms was founded in 1971 in part by owner Patty Burrets. A second floor flat in the Linden Hills neighborhood was converted into a gallery and served as 'home' until closing in 1982.
Patty re-opened on her own in a small shop in Galleria, adjacent to the current spacious location. You will often find her working side-by-side with her daughters, who are part of the helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Together, they continue to devote their entire space to fine contemporary artists and craftsmen who create works of glass, metal, clay, wood, paper and fiber. The results are exceptionally beautiful objects and decorative accessories to adorn walls, wear, simply admire or to give as cherished gifts.
The artists' roster includes Jana Ugone-lighting, Alexis Bittar-jewelry, Jonathan Adler-ceramics, Kathy Heerwald-original pastels, and Judith Whipple-whimsical paper mache sculpture ... to highlight just a few.
Stop in soon for a visual treat, and while in Galleria, visit their younger sister store, ATAZ, filled with color-drenched casual furniture and accessories - with an emphasis on handmade.
Services includes their signature gift packaging, gift certificates, shipping and they are happy to have you take an artist's work home on approval, if you wish.
